Romanian Ghosts: The Race to Save a Hauntingly Beautiful Photo Archive

If you go to the link below, you will see a story about how glass plate negatives are being saved after years of degradation in Romania.  They were taken by Costica Acsinte, a professional photographer who opened a commercial stdio in Slobozia, 80 miles east of Bucharest after his discharge from the army after World War I.

This is interesting to me because the Stafford County Museum is archiving glass negatives from their local Stafford County photographer W.R. Gray who had a studio in St. John and his photographs are being digitized, archived and shared.
